Clif Bar Family Farm represents our commitment to organic and sustainable farming, supporting our vision of family farms, locally grown ingredients and artisan handcrafted foods. This commitment transcends through all aspects of life on the Farm. We raise turkeys and chickens, tend to a small olive orchard, grow a variety of 100% organic fruits and vegetables and run all of our vehicles and equipment on bio-diesel.
Slowing Down
The Farm is about slowing down and finding enjoyment in life's simple pleasure. There is nothing we enjoy more than spending a day hiking, cycling or riding our horses. At the end of the day we create wonderful dishes using fresh ingredients from our own farm and our local community. We enjoy these meals with family and friends over a good bottle of wine, finding inspiration in slowing down and enjoying a closeness to our food source.

Making Change Happen
We want to support farming systems that will preserve our natural resources for future generations. We are dedicated to working with farmers who need help making the transition to organic and sustainable farming. Our goal is to inspire local farmers, consumers and communities to connect with their food source. Clif Bar Family Winery & Farm is proud to support the Community Alliance with Family Farmers, an organization working to build a movement of rural and urban people to foster family-scale agriculture that cares for the land, sustains local economies and promotes social justice. The Ruins
| There is a special corner of the Farm that we have named "The Ruins". This area is believed to have been a stagecoach stop on the way to the Aetna Springs Resort in the 1800s. It was later turned into a boarding style home with a foundation made from rock gathered from the surrounding hillside. Rumor has it that at one point, the property was also home to a distillery and ancient cave used during prohibition. We are now rejuvenating the soil on the surrounding five acres and this is where our fruit orchard and small vegetable farm are located. A two-acre organic vineyard will also be established in the coming years. |
